1972
Vogelsang began its life in North America through Viking Tension Products located in Oakhurst, NJ as an exclusive distributor for tension Rollpins® made in Europe by Joerg Vogelsang.
1976
Vogelsang acquires Viking Tension Products. During the past four years, we begin marketing Vogelsang Tension Bushings made in Europe by Joerg Vogelsang.
1980
Vogelsang decides to manufacture Tension Bushings domestically along with steel slitting operation and moves to a 15,000 square foot facility in Eatontown, NJ.
1982
Vogelsang becomes incorporated as the only North American entity thus removing Viking.Vogelsang begins manufacturing Rollpins® domestically.
1985
Equipment is developed in Germany to launch fractional size coil pins in North America. Medium duty carbon sizes from 1/16” through 5/16″ are released.
1988
Vogelsang purchase John Gillan product line.
1989
Vogelsang purchases roll forming equipment assets from Elastic Stop Nut Corp.
1990
A new 50,000 square foot facility is constructed in Lakewood NJ as the brand new site for Vogelsang Corp. Also during this time, spacer type products are developed in Germany and the production technology transferred to the new facility.
1992
Vogelsang attains ISO 9000 accreditation. At this time we also discontinued the steel slitting operation.
1993
Vogelsang introduces stainless to the coil pin product line along with heavy duty versions plus increasing our range up to 3/8”.
1995
Vogelsang attain QS-9000 accreditation.
1997
Vogelsang is awarded ISO 9002 certification.
2006
Vogelsang is sold to Finatem, a sizeable European private equity group specializing in manufacturing holdings. Vogelsang becomes part of European Fasteners GmbH with facilities in Germany, France and Czech Republic. Attain ISO/TS 16949 accreditation.
2008
Vogelsang begins its quest for “world class manufacturing” through 5S and Kaizen activities. During this time, Germany helps Vogelsang develop a new market for specialized rolled metal products for the automotive industry. A brand new Komatsu 200 ton press line is installed.
2009
Vogelsang rolls out the first ever Quick Ship program for coil pins, Rollpins®, and Tension Bushing markets. With much success in the new automotive products, Vogelsang installs a specialized 400 ton press line with in-line knurling and profiling capability.
2010
Vogelsang’s German plant builds the largest product tool in our group for an axle product to be produced in the NJ facility. Product incorporates both an internal knurl and profiled edges, all produced in-line.
2011
Vogelsang increases Quick Ship offerings to 1,200 varieties of Rollpins®, Coil Pins, and Tension Bushings.
2013
Due to increased growth in the automotive industry, Vogelsang builds a brand new 40,000 sq.ft. facility in the automotive belt (Kentucky). All equipment and personnel required to support the automotive products are relocated to Mt. Sterling, KY where revenues have already doubled. Vogelsang Corp is redomicialed to KY and the NJ facility takes on a new name – Vogelsang Fastener Solutions, Inc. (VFS).
2014
Vogelsang Fastener Solutions, Inc. installs a complete new ERP system, Prophet-21 and went live Jan 1, 2014. In addition, all fastener production equipment is relocated to our European manufacturing facilities, building is sold with a lease back, and VFS builds out a completely renovated 29,000 sq. ft. of warehouse/office space.
2016
Vogelsang Corp in KY doubles their plant size to 80,000 sq ft in order to make room for new equipment in support of awarded automotive programs. Vogelsang-Mecanindus Metal Forming Co., Ltd is formed in Kunshan China for automotive production.
2017
Vogelsang Fastener Solutions, Inc. partners with Advance Components as our North American Master Distributor. Vogelsang Fastener Solutions, Inc. partners with Industrial Rivet as our 3rd party Master Carton packaging company.
2018
Vogelsang Fastener Solutions, Inc. transitions and is accredited to ISO 9001-2015 quality standard. Jorg Vogelsang GmbH & Co. transitions and is accredited to IATF 16949-2016.
2019
Vogelsang Corp transitions and is accredited to ISO 9001-2015.
2022
Vogelsang acquires Hedtmann (Hagen Germany) and expands Compression Limiter production, expanded Tension Bushing options and ranges, and adds a new product line of Express Nails.
